This is a photograph of the McCarty's, Acomita, or Santo Domingo day schools, administered by the United Pueblos Agency in New Mexico. The Agency was formed in 1935 at Albuquerque, by consolidating the Santa Fe and Albuquerque Indian Schools, the Zuni Indian Agency, the Albuquerque Sanatorium, the Northern and Southern Pueblos Agencies, and the Navajo communities at Canoncito and Alamo. The day schools at which this photograph was taken was formerly under the jurisdiction of the Southern Pueblos Agency.
