This record comes from a series that served to document activities of the Office of Indian Affairs Division of Extension and Industry as organized in 1931. The purpose was to work with reservation agricultural and home extension agents to help Indians become self-sufficient and raise living standards. After the Indian Reorganization Act was passed in 1934, the credit agents worked with men from the Organization Division in establishing tribal corporations which were eligible for government loans for development projects.
This primary source comes from the Records of the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
