This video comes from "The Big Picture" Television Program Series created by the U.S. Army. The original description reads: This is the story of the 24th Infantry Division in Korea and of its magnificent performance. The 24th Division was formed out of the old Hawaiian division shortly before Pearl Harbor, and it fought bravely in many decisive battles in the Southwest Pacific that followed. With victory, it went on occupation duty in Japan. When war came again, the men of the 24th were the first Americans to reach the bitter and tragic soil of Korea. In this film presentation, viewers will follow the history of the 24th Infantry Division from their first difficult days of battle in Korea until November 1954, when the proud colors of the Division marched in Korea for the last time.
