The Alabama State Memorial by Steffen Thomas was erected in Vicksburg, MS in 1951.
Made of bronze, it depicts seven Confederate soldiers from Alabama being inspired by a female figure who represents the state itself. The base of the sculpture is from Stone Mountain granite.
