United States sports teams defeated their British rivals in golf, polo and sailing in 1921, giving Uncle Sam bragging rights over the English John Bull. As Uncle Sam heads home from Europe with the golf and polo trophies, he comments to John Bull: "I'll just keep 'em all together, John."
