This petition urges the Senate not to pass a Federal suffrage amendment giving women the right to vote (the 19th Amendment). It lists reasons why women should not be franchised nationally, including that the country "should be spared the harassing of its public men and the distracting of its people from work for the war" in "this hour of peril."
