This monument of Richmond native Arthur Ashe by Paul DiPasquale was unveiled in 1996 in Richmond, Virginia. Built on Monument Avenue, an area in Richmond that had previously been decorated with statues to Confederate leaders, Ashe is depicted with a tennis racket in one hand and books in the other.
