This comes from a series of photographs made during the Civil War and of works of art, cities and other areas, soldiers and sailors, political and social personalities, naval scenes, ships, the aftermath of battles, ordnance, and Union and Confederate fortifications. It is a copy of engraving by Evans after J.O. Davidson. The battle depicted occured on March 9, 1862.This document was identified by teachers in our 2015 Primarily Teaching online workshop.
