Troops at Camp Upton, N.Y., stage a mock battle, which includes a gas attack, officers demonstrating how to test a gas mask, electric sirens and rachets that warn troops as gas bombs explode near trenches, bottled gas that is blown over the field, cavalry units that don masks and spread masks over the muzzles of their horses, and troops that beat gas from the trenches after an attack.
