This photograph shows Bill Clinton taking the oath of office to become the nation's 42nd President at his inauguration, one minute before noon on the West side of the Capitol Building. Chief Justice of the Supreme Court William Rehnquist administered the oath. Clinton's daughter Chelsea and Vice President Al Gore stand beside him.
