This CIA report contains information about the situation in Indochina, and Vietnam in particular, in early 1950. It describes that nationalists under the leadership of "Moscow-trained revolutionist Ho Chi Minh," have been opposing French colonial rule for three years, and that they are receiving military supplies from Communist China. It also suggests that if France leaves and there is a Communist regime in Vietnam, adjacent Thailand and Burma will also become Communist states.
