This resolution was sent to the Senate following a suffrage meeting in the Fifth Congressional District of Michigan. The letter asks the Michigan Senators to support a bill introduced by Congresswoman Jeanette Rankin calling for an investigation "concerning the brutal treatment of the suffragists" imprisoned in the Occoquan Workhouse in Virginia.
