Sgt., later Ensign, James Runnals, served six months in 1779 in Col. Mooney’s New Hampshire Militia regiment. James began receiving a pension of $50.34 in 1833 for his Revolutionary War service. After his death his wife, Tamson, filed this illustrated family record as proof of her relationship to James for her widow’s pension application. She was awarded $50.34 a year in 1844.
