Description

This letter from the acting clerk of the House of Representatives notified John Kennedy that he has been elected to the Congress of the United States. JFK became a House Representative in 1946 and a member of the Senate in 1953. In 1961, 44-year-old Kennedy became the youngest President in U.S. history.
