This video shows President Johnson addressing Congress regarding voting rights legislation just days after the violence that prevented the march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama.
In his speech, Johnson declares: "I want to be the President who helped to end hatred among his fellow man, and who promoted love among the people of all races in all regions and all parties. I want to be the President who helped to end war among the brothers of this earth."
