One of the first business organizations in New York, and, it is believed, the first in the United States, to encourage knitting among its male employees during lunch hour, was the Universal Motion Picture Company, 1600 Broadway, New York. The female stenographers acted as instructors. Photo shows a noon hour knitting session in one of the offices.
