President Lyndon B. Johnson appointed the President’s Commission on the Assassination of President Kennedy – commonly called the Warren Commission – to investigate the assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22, 1963, at Dallas, Texas. The Warren Commission Report presented evidence identifying Lee Harvey Oswald as the assassin of President Kennedy and indicated that he acted alone in that event. This shirt was one of the items received by the Warren Commission as evidence relating to the investigation.
