Sergeant James Lundie submitted this statement describing his rescue by Lieutenant Colonel Joe M. Jackson on May 12, 1968, at Kham Duc, Republic of Vietnam. Lundie’s statement was one of many that helped to support the awarding of the Medal of Honor to LTC Jackson.
