This student information card records basic data about a student, Jim Thorpe, who attended the Carlisle Indian Industrial School. The card provides the name of Thorpe’s tribe, the dates he entered and left school, his parents’ names, and his age at entrance date. Thorpe, an excellent athlete, led the school’s football team to a collegiate championship in 1912. He went on to win Olympic gold medals for decathlon and pentathlon later that year.
