The original caption of this photograph reads: During a lull in the fighting on the Central Korean front, three Leathernecks of the First Marine Division take time for a little cleaning up. In the "barber chair", PFC Richard J. West, of Sioux City, S.D., obligingly holds a canteen cup shaving mug, as the "barber" PFC John J. Clements, of Nederland, Texas, handles the neck trim department. True to stateside barber shop tradition, the waiting customer, PFC Robert I. Green, of Gales Creek, Ore., leafsthrough the page of an old dilapidated magazine.
