This tan felt hat in the collection of the Harry S. Truman Library and Museum is trimmed in silk ribbon secured with a bow. A leather sweatband on the inside of the hat has "S.E. Wilkes" written on it. The green oval paper originally sat in the top of the crown of the hat. It has black print oval engravings of Republican presidential candidate Benjamin Harrison, and his running mate, Levi Morton, surrounded by flags. Beneath their portraits are two clasped hands. Beneath the flags are the words "Our Choice."
