This is a clip from the film "The President: September 1968," a narrative account of President Lyndon B. Johnson's activities for the month, created by the Naval Photographic Center. It shows Ambassador Averell Harriman's meeting with President Johnson with regard to the Paris Peace Talks; President Johnson’s speech at the American Legion's 50th Annual Convention, in which he addressed U.S. strategy in Vietnam; footage of U.S. troops in combat and bombing in Vietnam; and the funeral for Major General Keith Ware, who was killed in action.
