In March 1933, at the height of the Great Depression, the newly elected President Franklin D. Roosevelt gave one of the most famous inaugural addresses in history. Remembered chiefly for its phrase "the only thing we have to fear is fear itself," the speech highlighted many of the problems of the Great Depression and FDR's proposed plans at fixing the issues.Read the following inaugural address.
