This statue of Benjamin Harrison by Charles Niehaus (sculptor) and Henry Bacon (architect) was dedicated in Indianapolis, Indiana in 1908.
The bronze statue depicts the 23rd President standing in an open overcoat holding his gloves in his left hand as if he is giving a speech.
On the pedestal is inscribed on several sides. One states, "Benjamin Harrison, A Citizen Faithful to every Obligation, A Lawyer of Distinction, A Volunteer Soldier in the War for the Union, A Senator in Congress, the Twenty-Third President of the United States." Another side continues, "Benjamin Harrison, His Life Exemplified the Faith he Taught, Industry-Fidelity-Courage, Sound Statemanship and justice through the law."
