The original caption for this photograph reads: A BREAK IN THE RAIN--Two battle weary Leathernecks of the 26th Marine Regiment take a break, rain and all, during Operation Bold Mariner. The cordon operation on the Batangan Peninsula in Quang Ngai Province is aimed at uncovering and destroying the dreaded Viet Cong and his political infrastructure that preys on defenseless Vietnamese in remote villages and hamlets.
