Status: Contraband Death Date: 03/20/1865 This is a part of series of documents that provide the decedent's name, rank, unit, cause and date of death, and burial location from the Colored Refugee Home and the Freedman's Hospital for "contraband" slaves who escaped or were brought within Union lines. This document was identified by teachers in our 2015 Primarily Teaching online workshop.
