The men of Norfolk County, Virginia, sent this petition to Senator Martin asking him to work and vote for a Federal Suffrage Amendment, so that the "women of the United States may become the political equals of those of Great Britain, Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the Scandanavian Countries."
