This advertisement is an exhibit from the court case Abernathy v Patterson involving Martin Luther King, Jr. The advertisement calls for support of the civil rights movement and is signed by 100 prominent citizens. The central issue of this case was an advertisement placed in the "New York Times" and endorsed by many prominent individuals. The advertisement encouraged support for the Martin Luther King, Jr. Defense Fund. It also alleged police action directed against civil rights demonstrators.
