The original caption for this photograph reads: Operation ‘Cook’–A search and destroy mission conducted by Co. ‘B,’ 2nd Bn, 35th Inf., 3rd Bde, 4th Inf. Div. as part of ‘Task Force Oregon’ in the villages and hamlets around the Duc Pho Area, Quang Ngai Province, 320 miles northeast of Saigon. An UH-1B helicopter prepares to land in a rice paddy to pick up wounded soldiers.
