Bonn, June 23 - President Kennedy arrived in the Federal Republic of Germany today to start a 10-day European visit. The President's schedule included visits in West Germany and West Berlin, June 23-26; Ireland, June 26-29; England, June 29-30; and Italy, June 30-July 2. Following the arrival ceremonies this morning at Bonn's Wahn Airport, President Kennedy and Federal German Chancellor Adeanuer rode in a motorcade through Cologne, Bonn and Bad Godesberg. The President signed the city "golden books" in Cologne and Bonn, addressed crowds in both cities, and spoke to the U.S. Embassy staff in Bad Godesberg. This evening, he was guest of honor at a dinner and reception hosted by Chancellor Adenauer. President Kennedy waves a greeting as he begins his speech in Bonn to a crowd which flows into buildings on the City Hall Square and on into adjacent side streets. The President's visit was telecast throughout Europe and, via the Telstar and Relay satellites, to North America.
