Located in Newark, NJ near the Essex County Courthouse, Seated Lincoln by Gutzon Borglum (later sculptor of Mount Rushmore) was unveiled on May 30, 1911. Unlike many statues of public figures at that time, Abraham Lincoln is depicted sitting instead of in a standing position.
