The Virginia Monument by F. William Sievers was completed in 1917 on the Gettysburg Battlefield in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The pedestal (without the statues) was dedicated in 1913 on the 50th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg.
The monument includes a 14 foot equestrian statue of Robert E. Lee on top of a 14 foot granite pedestal. At the base is a group of 6 figures including a mounted standard bearer on a sculptured bronze base. The monument is inscribed "Virginia to her Sons at Gettysburg."
